Collateral and Margining

Radar ATS adopts a conservative collateral policy, accepting only highly liquid, low-risk assets to mitigate default exposure.

  • Participants pledge acceptable collateral for Initial Margin (IM).
  • Client-pledged IM transferred to Radar ATS.
  • Liquidity testing for non-cash collateral; only liquid securities deemed eligible.
  • Eligible Securities list updated quarterly (or more frequently) and published.

Acceptable Collateral

The following shall qualify as Collateral for use as Initial Margin:

  1. Cash; South African Rand
  2. Government Bonds
  3. Gold
  4. Listed Equities
